Biography:

Iain McGrawIain McGraw is a Consultant Hand & Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Glasgow. He trained in orthopaedic surgery in Glasgow. His fellowship in hand surgery was in Newcastle and involved dual training in both Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery. He also completed a Royal College of Surgeons of England Ethicon Travelling Fellowship in Hand surgery in Philadelphia and was an AO Trauma Fellow at the University of Texas. In 2017 he completed the Diploma in Hand Surgery at the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and University of Manchester. He is a Certified member of the Expert Witness Institute and has completed Bond Solon training in writing medical reports and court appearance. His sub-speciality interests are in the assessment and treatment of hand and upper limb injuries as well as work related conditions. He is a course chairman of AO Trauma and in 2025 was elected onto the council of the BSSH. In 2026 he became Lead Clinician for his NHS Orthopaedic Department. His private practice is based at the Nuffield Hospital Glasgow as well as the Elanic Hospital Glasgow.
