Resolve’s team of Directors oversees all aspects of the business including recruitment of Experts and quality assurance of Medical Reports.

Mark Broadbent
Mr Broadbent is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, with an interest in hand and upper limb surgery, who works for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. He currently undertakes his NHS clinics and elective operating at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, while providing “orthopaedic and trauma on-call” at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. He has an extensive experience in undertaking medicolegal reports, and conceived the Resolve concept in 2012. Mr Broadbent currently organises the Scottish Medicolegal Meeting, as well as organising the training of medical experts in partnership with the EWI.

Robert Clayton
Mr Clayton is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeon with a general adult trauma practice which encompasses all musculoskeletal injury. He has been providing expert reports since 2010, both in general adult musculoskeletal injuries as well as pursuer and defender reports. He also provides medical negligence reports. Mr Clayton joined Resolve Medicolegal in 2014 and became a director in 2017.

Robert Carter
Mr Carter is a full time specialist Foot and Ankle Surgeon based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital of Glasgow. He is UK trained in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Glasgow with European Fellowship placements in Vienna, Bordeux and Zurich. Mr Carter joined Resolve Medicolegal in 2014 and became a director in 2025.

Claire Provan
Claire Provan is a former qualified Financial Advisor with Santander, with a proven track record in leadership, having successfully managed high-performing customer service teams. She later channelled her drive and people skills into a thriving sales career with Pampered Chef, where over five years she sold more than £500,000 worth of kitchen equipment and earned four coveted incentive trips for top sales performance.
Claire joined Resolve in 2013, during its infancy, and has helped shape the company’s growth and success. She has overseen the development of key operational processes, built strong relationships with clients, and fostered a supportive team culture that reflects Resolve’s values. She was appointed Office Manager in 2015 and, in 2025, became a Director—a role she is immensely proud of.
Outside of work, Claire is a proud mum to two rugby-playing boys, and most weekends are spent cheering them on from the sidelines.
