Chartered Clinical Psychologist & Accredited EMDR Practitioner

Biography:

Dr Catherine Jenkins is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years clinical experience providing psychological assessment, formulation and therapy for individuals, families and carers. She is an accredited EMDR Practitioner. Dr Jenkins worked within the NHS from 2003 – 2022, with experience across a variety of specialisms including Adult Mental Health, Primary Care, Learning Disabilities, Physical Health, Public Health and Occupational Health services. She has also worked systemically, providing psychological input at a Health Board, National and Government level. She now works solely in private practice. Dr Jenkins routinely assesses and provides intervention for clients experiencing a range of psychological difficulties, such as: depression/ low mood, anxiety disorders (e.g. phobias, panic, health anxiety, performance/social anxiety, OCD), trauma related difficulties (including PTSD), interpersonal difficulties, bereavement/loss and disordered eating.  She is therefore well placed to be instructed by Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury cases where there is a psychological component.  Dr Jenkins has been undertaking regular medicolegal work since 2017 and has prepared and provided over 200 medico-legal reports. She has undertaken Bond Solon Expert Witness training. 


Dr Jenkins works through video-conferencing platform Zoom, providing virtual appointments which are convenient for the client and also enabling her to provide a service to those who live in remote locations.
