Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon

Biography:

Ms McMillan has been a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery at University Hospital Crosshouse since 2005. Trained initially in the West of Scotland, she undertook research in Atlanta, Georgia and Fellowship training in lower limb arthroplasty, sports knee surgery and paediatric trauma in Toronto.

Ms McMillan treats general and adult paediatric trauma and her elective practice is focused on conditions of the knee joint, with a specialist interest in the patellofemoral joint.

She is an undergraduate teacher, an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, and a postgraduate trainer to all levels of orthopaedic trainees.

She has been a faculty member of AO International SINCE 2008 and has taught fracture management nationally and internationally.

She has provided medicolegal reports since 2008, including pursuer, defender and negligence. Pursuer/defender ration 80/20.
