Biography:
Mark Devlin is a Consultant Cleft and Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, University of Glasgow.
He is currently the Deputy Chief of Medicine for Regional Services in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
He is based in Glasgow but is part of a Regional Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service and a National Cleft Lip and Palate Surgical Service.
His practice includes the management of facial disfigurement, facial trauma and until 2020 all aspects of facial aesthetics. (Paediatric and Adult)
He has been involved in medicolegal work since 2007.

Medicolegal Experience:
I have been involved in Medicolegal practice for 18 years. This work has involved the provision of expert medical opinion and reporting. I produce around 100 reports per year on issues relating to personal injury of the head and neck region including the dentition and the mouth, causation and negligence. I also report on issues relating to complications of Head and Neck cosmetic treatments. I am a member of the Expert Witness Institute and hold the UABS Expert Witness Certificate. I undertake regular CPD relating to Medicolegal Practice. I will see both children and adults routinely within my clinical practice and am therefore happy to provide opinion on all age groups.
The bulk of my medicolegal work is Pursuer/Claimant Personal Injury (80% with rest being made up of NHS Advisory and Defendant/Defender. I have offered opinion to the GMC on a small number of cases.
