Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Biography:
Mr Carter is a full-time Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and he is the clinical lead for Orthopaedic Trauma in NHS Fife. He has sub-speciality interests in the management of all aspects of orthopaedic trauma and in particular foot and ankle surgery. He has completed specialist training in both areas in Melbourne Australia, including a prestigious fellowship with OrthoSport Victoria (OSV) under world renowned surgeon Dr Harvinder Bedi. Mr Carter was awarded a Doctorate (MD) from the University of Edinburgh in 2021 for his research into the management of foot and ankle trauma. He has published extensively in this area and delivered presentations at both national and international level.
Mr Carter is available for medicolegal consultations and expert testimony for orthopaedic trauma in all areas of the musculoskeletal system, in particular the foot and ankle.

Elective foot & ankle surgery including forefoot, midfoot, sports, arthroscopy, and hindfoot surgery including total ankle replacements

Medicolegal Experience:
Mr Carter completes approximately 250 medical reports per year. He is a full member of the Expert Witness Institute (EWI). His pursuer/defender ratio is 90:10.
